IELTS Essay App - Sample IELTS Essay Questions and Topics
The IELTS Essay Writing Test has 2 sections: the Academic and General.
In the Academic section you will be required to write a 200-word essay (500 words on this page) on a current event. In the General section you will be required to write a 2-3 minute structured report or presentation which responds to a question posed. Each candidate will be allowed approximately 20 minutes to complete the test. The Academic Essay should be written at a standard of at least IELTS 6. (but ideally at 7). The General Essay should be written at a standard of at least IELTS 7.0 (but ideally at .5).
You should use the practice essays in this app as a guide to ensure you meet the standard set by the IELTS examiners. You should also find the IELTS Writing test itself to be a useful resource as it provides additional information about how the test is structured.
